Members (past and present) of St David’s Players are delighted to be participating in the 2022 Classics Galore! Concert to form the Choir along with The Ottery St Mary Choral Society and raise money for FORCE Cancer Charity.
St David’s Players 50th ANNIVERSARY YEAR (1969-2019)
It all started in 1969 as part of St David’s Church Youth Club, which was based at St David’s church in Exeter. The Club consisted of about thirty youngsters who went to St David’s Church either in the choir or the congregation, who got very enthusiastic about doing some sort of musical production.
Since their first production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s Patience which was performed in February 1970, St. David’s Players have built a formidable reputation for staging Gilbert and/or Sullivan productions to the highest possible ‘professional’ standards every year. Through these productions St David’s Players have been able to donate approximately £18,000 to various charities.
We are always delighted to welcome new members and if performing on stage is too scary for you, we have many opportunities for non-acting members, such as back stage, wardrobe, admin to name but a few.
