Penny has had a wide and varied musical career from Opera to Musical Theatre and Oratorio. Her most notable operatic roles with Somerset Opera have been Carmen(Carmen), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Susanna (Marriage of Figaro),Musetta (La Boheme), Cunegonde (Candide) .

She has played the leading soprano in all but two of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Operettas.  Her love of Gilbert & Sullivan has taken her to the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Buxton where she was nominated for Best Female voice and Best Actress. Some of her musical theatre credits include, Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), Lois Lane (Kiss Me Kate), Sarah (Bitter Sweet) and Dolly Levi (Hello Dolly).), Widow Corney (Oliver), King and I (Lady Thiang) and last year at the Northcott Theatre, Exeter as, Mother Abbess (Sound of Music).

She is delighted to have been able to perform in all the Classics Galore concerts.
